Reminders and Realities

LIFE in Community

Community Meditation

Growing in Knowledge

  • Read Galatians 5:1-15. In this passage there is much said about division, slavery, freedom and community.
  1. How is understanding God’s grace towards us central to our freedom?
  2. How can seeing the gospel as “Jesus + Something else” lead us to judge one another and divide over secondary things?
  3. Compare and contrast the two paths in verses 13-15.

Feeling Life Deeply

  • Why is it so easy to talk about forgiveness but hard to actually forgive people and reconcile with them in a community? How can Christian people talk grace but practice a scorched earth policy with people who wrong them?

Living with Courage

  • What are some obstacles in your life that make life in community difficult? How does your schedule need to be challenged? Changed?
  • Think about specific relationships in family and church that need gospel work. What is your next step with them?
